He was so in love with Harlow but couldn't commit but always loved her as she did him, I wasn't aware that his son had committed suicide, I know that made him very sad n depressed with both of them passing away! Powell, William (birth name was William Horatio Powell) Born in Pittsburgh 7/29/1892; died 3/5/1984 of cardiac arrest due to pneumonia while asleep in Palm Springs, California. Powell had several operations for cancer. Married to Eileen Wilson (1915-1931); Carole Lombard (1931-1933); Diana Lewis (1940-his death). He studied acting at The Academy Of Dramatic Arts in New York, and made his New York stage in 1912 with The Ne'er Do Well.
