Spoiler : I listened to "Talking Drums" today through my phone app blue toothed to my ear pods. Most of it was clear, but when it got to the explanation of 'why' the tribe wanted to stop the railroad through the sacred forest, it was hard to understand audio wise. Yes, I have 74 yr old ears, but they are not that bad. Does anyone else have a good explanation, other than witch doctors considered the forest sacred? Did the railroad just plow on through it after the boy sent the drum message telling them to stop fighting? I was hoping the RR would respect their belief and go around the forest.
