There really is an Adventurers Club in Chicago where kindred spirits gather to relate stories of their discoveries and close calls during their travels around the world. The club was created when adventurous souls began to gather together for drinks and stories at St. Hubert’s Old English Grill. Military men, big game hunters, explorers and mountaineers sought a place "to provide a hearth and home for those who have left the beaten path and made for adventure".
