Plot: +WXYZ, Detroit origination, The Michigan Radio Network. "The Dog Fight". There's going to be a dog fight in town, and everybody's interested. No one seems to be interested in building a schollhouse. Buck Creedy and Ben Green knew that Hal Bixby was in town and were spreading the word around that Hal’s dog was a killer so that they could take higher bets on it knowing that their own dog was the stronger. They had to make sure the Mounties didn’t get word of the dogfight, as dogfights are illegal.

I am Larry McCann's daughter, Carol. This is the first time I've heard my Father speak since he died in 1979. I thought everything with his voice was gone. First time I've ever been able to find anything with it since his passing. The second recording announcements are longer and have me blubbering like the 5 year old I was when these shows were broadcast. He was a young man then. Having fought in W.W.II he just starting his lifetime career in broadcasting with WXYZ. Thank you.. thank you for this treasure for me.. thank you so very much.
