All Gas and Gaiters was a no holds barred send-up of the Church on BBC television. Set in St. Ogg’s Cathedral, the series poked fun at religion as well as the rivalries between clergymen. After being on “the telly” from 1966 to 1971, the series continued on BBC Radio from 1971 to 1972.
