Title | : | duffy's tavern (129) men's fashion lecture (with adolph menjou) |
Air Date | : | 05.09.1944 |
Plot | : | + Duffy's Tavern. May 9, 1944. Blue net origination, AFRS rebroadcast. Adolphe reads the lecture about men's fashions (as written by Archie). This speech could take the "Hart" out of "Schafner and Marx!" Yvette sings, "I'll Be Seeing You." The AFRS music fill has been deleted. There’s a big crowd at Duffy’s Tavern tonight, and on the list of guests tonight is the movie star Adolph Menjou, and French singer Yvette. Archie's writing a lecture about men's fashions right now, for Adolph to read when he arrives. Miss Duffy (Doris Singleton) then gives Archie a telling off for bringing a French singer to the Tavern, instead of her own fine singing, before they bicker about Tolstoy... Yvette later sings I'll Be Seeing You. Orchestra: Peter Van Steeden Music: Peter Van Steeden |
