Spoiler : It's New Years Eve. Dennis has just finished his song, and Jack says to him: Just think Dennis, that's your last song this year. The last time we'll hear your voice in 1939. Dennis:Gee, time certainly flies doesn't it? Jack:It certainly does. You know Dennis, it seems like only yesterday I was your age. Only yesterday I was 19. Mary:And the day before yesterday Washington crossed the Delaware. Jack:Mary, I'm talking to Dennis. It wouldn't hurt to have a little sentiment this evening. As I was saying Dennis, 1939 is soon coming to an end. In just a few hours the old year will pass right out. Phil:And I won't be far behind. Jack:Last year you won by eight lengths. ----- Jack is on the phone with Rochester who's wanting a few days off, including New Years Eve. Jack is telling him he's only getting New Years Eve off. Adding:And furthermore I want you back to work at 9am the next morning. Rochester:9am? Jack:Yes, 9am. Rochester:Ok. If I ain't in the kitchen look in the rose bushes. Jack:I'm not gonna hunt for ya. Now look Rochester. There's plenty of things you can do on New Years Eve besides drinking. You can throw confetti, you can blow horns, and break balloons, and when midnight comes, and the old year passes out- Rochester:I wanna go with it. ------ Rochester is asking how he's getting to the Biltmore Bowl where he'll be celebrating New Years Eve with the rest of the gang. Jack:You're driving us there in the Maxwell of course. Then the evening is yours. Are you going to celebrate Rochester? Rochester:Yes sir. I'm going to a ball at the Central Avenue 'You walk in, and if you're not carried out you get your money back' club. Jack:Well you better walk in AND out. Now remember Rochester, you promised not to drink tonight. Rochester:Yes sir. I'll just order martinis and eat the olives out of them. Jack:That's right, you can eat all the olives you want. Rochester:I got a bad tooth though, I might have to float em down

Spoiler : That was an amazing team. Just magic when they were on the air. All Jacks shows were hilarious. I watched a show from the 70s with 12 stand up comedians and there wasn’t a chuckle in the entire program. I love the old stuff
