The citizens of Pine Ridge felt that if they could find the culprit who broke in to Abner’s house they would clear up several mysterious robberies that had been committed recently. Well yesterday they found clues, which definitely linked Lum with the crime, and the old feller has been arrested and locked up in jail… + Yesterday some new interest was created in the Great Western Sterling Silver Company of which Lum is president and general manager of when a stranger arrived in Pine Ridge and purchased three shares of stock in the mine. The stockholders now believe that the stranger, Mr. Donahue must have some inside information about the mine and as a result they’re all feeling much better about their investment… |
