The system cue has been deleted or is added live. + Yesterday just as Lum and Abner were confident that Squire Skimp had beaten them out of $200 on that fake diamond deal, Squire came in the store and gave them $300 for the diamond back. Well they can’t seem to figure out this sudden burst of generosity on the part of the Squire. +Lum and Abner are now operating the Lonesome Heart Matrimonial Bureau. The old fellows used the $18 Lum collected for the Jot ‘Em Down store to place an ad in newspapers throughout the surrounding territories and are now anxiously awaiting mail from prospective customers. + Lum is in a bad spot right now. First because he has found out that the jewels they took out of Mr Devraux’s safety deposit box were not stolen from Mrs Barrington after all and second because Mrs Barrington turned the picture of Lum he sent her over to the police. She thought it was a picture of the jewel thief he mentioned in his letter to her. + The Prince is practically a forgotten figure. The intended victims of the bone healing hoax have their money back, Squire Skimp has talked himself back in to the good graces of those he tried to swindle and things are once again looking up in Pine Ridge. |
