Title | : | gildy considers marriage |
Air Date | : | 03.10.1948 |
Plot | : | + Sponsored by: Kraft Parkay (jingle), Kraft Dinner. Gildersleeve starts entertaining thoughts of marriage, but all his married friends seem to be in the dog house! The Jolly Boys sing, "Dear Old Girl." Ken Christy does a fine four bars of, "Asleep In The Deep." Lillian Randolph (as "Birdie") joins announcer John Wald in one of the commercials. It’s the night that the Jolly Boys meet above Floyd’s barbers shop and the singing is on good form. It is after twelve midnight and Gildy is not ready to go home yet and accuses everyone else of having to check in to their wives. The others ask Gildy if he has ever thought of settling down and going home to a loving wife. Gildy certainly doesn’t feel like going home at all and thinks that maybe there is something missing in his life. |
