Gildy and Adeline are watching a romantic period movie. Adeline is really enjoying it but Gildy was less than enthused and went for popcorn more than once! After the movie Gildy takes Adeline back to see his office. Then seeing a light on the Mayor turns up and Gildy tells him that they are just working on the reports that he needs tomorrow. Upon seeing Adeline they Mayor assumes that Gildy has got a new secretary and congratulates him on getting rid of Bessie as quite a few mistakes had been coming from his office lately. Oh dear, how is Gildy going to explain this one to Bessie! Lets see how Summerfield’s Water Commissioner the Great Gildersleeve is getting along. History tells us that many great men had women trouble. Napoleon had trouble with Josephine, Caesar had trouble with Cleopatra and the great Gildersleeve is having trouble with Bessie his secretary. After five years at the Water Department Bessie is a model – of inefficiency! |
