Last night the Great Gildersleeve set out to prove to Leroy that there’s no such thing as a haunted house but while he was out at the mysterious Willoughby place a strange thing happened. First a door opened, and then there were hollow footsteps and then a weird ghostly sound. What did the great man do? Now, on to Summerfield where we join that to illustrious citizen and industrious lover Throckmorton P. Gildersleeve. And where do we find him? Well love is funny, the door that was yesterday slammed in your face today flies open at your approach, so we discover the great Gildersleeve and his ladylove once more together, seated on the sofa in his living room, gazing in to the future and laying plans for the event that is soon to make him the happiest man in the world…. |
