Enthusiasm is all right in its place but there are times when it can be a curse particularly when you’ve been up all night playing poker. Frank Race just wanted to go to sleep but Marcus Donavon was full of enthusiasm insisting that they drive right over to see April Hennes who had contacted him about some kind of trouble she had. Frank remembered her as an old girlfriend so agreed to go and see her. She was married now and concerned for her husband who having gone missing turned up delirious. She was convinced someone was trying to harm her husband to prevent him from running for congress. |
