| Plot | : | + Marlowe is slipped a mickey in a bar while looking for Sammy Archer, a second story burglar. A jeweled tiara has been stolen and a permanent double cross follows. Philip Marlowe is supposed to be meeting Sammy Archer in Slatterie’s bar but he hasn’t turned up. When Marlowe asks if Slattery knows Archer, Slattery gets defensive and gives Marlowe a doped whisky. When Marlowe comes to Slattery let’s on he it wasn’t he who doped his drink but also he knows more about Archer than he let on. |
