Mamma and Pappa Evans run a quiet little bookstore as a front for a possible trade in smuggled diamonds. Pappa Evans poisons Frank Luis but the poison doesn’t take affect until Luis is at the home of Boston Blackie’s friend Charlie Kingston. At Kingston’s insistence Blackie dumps the body of Luis but unbeknownst to him a customs inspector has been following Luis and trails Blackie and Kingston to Blackie’s apartment. Here the customs man and inspector Faraday break in but they find no trace of Blackie. |
