One of his tricks in the circus was for him to be handcuffed, put in a locked trunk with ropes around it and hoisted over a big tank full of water with a screen around the water. The trunk would be lowered and then seconds later Rondo would appear. The previous night the rope was severed and by the time the workmen got into the tank and raised the trunk, Rondo was drowned. |
