The letter: If you want real adventure, be at the corner of 7th and Main at 10:00 p.m. tonight. A black limousine will pick you up at that time. Do not try to engage yourself in conversation. No signature. Dan sums up the fine points of the situation; dark corner, late at night, black limo with a silent chauffeur... and we're off! Once again Rocky is in search of work. This time he gets sent off to be a chauffeur, but when he rolls up at 159 Euston he finds a neighborhood that doesn't resemble chaffeurland. As he rounds the stairs to the 5th floor he gets a whack on the back of the head. When he comes to he is in a white room with iron grills on the window. Next to him stands a man in a white coat. It turns out since he's been unconscious for over a week. Nobody seems to want to believe that he is Rocky Fortune. Everyone insists that he is called Steve. Before long things start to become a little clearer, but right at the end there is a twist in the tail. |
