Title | : | green hornet (352) money talks too loud |
Air Date | : | 06.20.1939 |
Plot | : | + "Money Talks Too Loud". Music fill for local commercial insert. The Hornet foils an attempt to bribe legislators into passing a gambling bill. This is a network version of cat. #3570. The Daily Sentinel is going to take a firm stance against the Brannigan Bill, which is for the legalising of betting on horses. But money talks and the bookies have got together to lobby against it. This is a clever move, as Brit Reid of the Daily Sentinel can’t be seen to be on the side of the bookies yet he can’t be seen to be for the bill. If the state allows gambling on horses how can they stop it on other things? |
