Spoiler : Nightwatch Episode 10, "The Big Search" is, in my opinion, the best of the best, and rates #1 as the ultimate best Nightwatch episode of all time. Mr. Donn Reid's coverage of both stories - the massive search for a missing child by all available city & county law enforcement resources, as well as the concern & help of good citizens in the community, and capturing the anguish of the child's parents and the boy's account of his story - all came together beautifully. And then we have the plight of a very sweet but confused 75-year-old lady, apparently with no family to love & take care of her, sits outside on the sidewalk and plays her record player. Chief Hildebrand handles both cases with compassion, understanding and resources for help. And I can only hope that, somewhere down the line, Mr. Donn Reid was recognized for his excellence as a reporter for this show, and also in his career.
