The headlines in the paper that morning reported that the police commissioner’s house was robbed of $50,000 worth of diamonds last night and his gardener was murdered. Later Mr Burton calls upon Richard Diamond and pays him $500 to deliver a package of important papers to Philadelphia. Diamond curious to see what the package is opens it and discovers 5 diamonds probably worth about $10,000. Diamond suspects that someone is trying to frame him for the diamond heist. |
