"The Saint--sprung from the pen of Leslie Charteris, his adventures fill thirty books, a dozen motion pictures--and now, by radio, he is yours for the next half hour."
The Saint radio show was a drama/detective show first heard on CBS in 1947. It featured the story of Simon Templar, otherwise known as “The Saint,” a detective who considers detection a form of art. The first choice to play The Saint was Tom Conway, but he declined, and the role went to the legendary Vincent Price. Also starred in the show was Lawrence Dobkin, who took the role of the cab driver who gets The Saint across the city. The old time radio show lasted until 1951.
