A house of horrors includes a butler who resembles Frankenstein, radioactive poisons and man-eating plants! + Rowena Raven has been receiving threatening letters at her home, Ravenswood. This has been going on for a few weeks now and since the police will do nothing about it she has called in for the help of Sam Spade. When he arrives he is shown around the spooky old premises by Ms Raven's nephew, Ralph Raven, a slight man with almost transparent chalk white skin, whom has been left bound to a wheelchair due to an unfortunate automobile accident. As they walk into the conservatory, which is inhabited by hundreds of poisonous plants, Sam notices that his watch has stopped. Coincidentally, so has everyone else's… |
