Ben Comiskey has been arrested for robbing a liquor store. A story of a good brother and a bad brother. Louise Miller wants to hire Spade and she’s got $95. She was going to be married to Ben Comiski but a few nights ago he was picked up on the street for holding up a store and placed in jail. He was refusing to see Miss Miller and she wanted to hire Spade to find out why and what was really going on. Ben Kaminski had no previous record and no background and was due to get married to Louise Miller. But now he was in trouble with the police for armed robbery on a store and was doing nothing deny it. Louise couldn’t understand why he would do this, it was so out of character. Devoted to Ben she determined to get to the bottom of this and employed Sam Spade. |
