| Plot | : | + One day in the autumn of 1887, Holmes and Watson were seated either side of the fire and during a pause whilst discussing the cleverness of Professor Moriarty, Watson handed Holmes the mornings mail. Holmes glanced through it and stopped at a certain envelope. He read it for a short while then said, "By Jove Watson, this is interesting". It was a letter from a Miss Francoise Dulac claiming that her life was in danger and imploring Holmes to come to her hotel immediately on receipt of the letter. He looked at Watson and said, "Get your hat and coat on old fellow, we're off to the Carlton Hotel at once"… |
