Plot | : | + Holmes and Watson were, on this occasion sat at the ringside of “the Circ Royale” in Paris. Holmes looked to be totally disinterested in the performance and during a break in the acts, Watson leaned across and said, “what’s the matter old chap, aren’t you enjoying it. To which Holmes replied, "Oh I was just wondering where our extremely distinguished client, Mr. Edwards is. He is supposed to meet us in this box at nine o’clock". At that point an extremely colorful personality in the shape of Madame Giselle, bareback rider extraordinaire appears in the ring and it would seem from what Holmes says to Watson that this femme fatale is of extreme interest in the case. |
