An Iowa farm family stops in Texas to help a stranger, who then kills the man and woman and wounds their twelve year old boy. + It is 7:40 pm on June 12th 1941. On a deserted stretch of highway through a thinly populated area of Texas, a sedan with a family of three, pushes to the southwest, towing behind it a small, heavily loaded two wheeled trailer. Further down the highway there is a man signaling for them to stop. One of the wheels on his car has had a blowout. So, the family pull over to help. |
