| Plot | : | + "Blood Trail". Doc Thomas collapses and dies on the street after being hit by a car. The blood trail leads to a dead cowboy and a dying herd. The date is subject to correction. + It is 7:30 on a Saturday evening in July 1929. For a week an oppressive blanket of heat and dust has surrounded the town of Whitney in the Texas panhandle. Despite the unpleasant weather however, Whitney is enjoying its usual Saturday night activity. Sheriff Dave Fellows is strolling down the Main Street when he sees old Dr Thomas staggering around, which is very unusual as he doesn't drink. Fellows races across the street to help him, but is too late. As he nearly reaches him he stumbles into the street and is hit by a car… |
