As Elson, Smith and Petrie return to the house from a hurried search of the fortified ground, they are startled by a frenzied cry for help. + Special Inspector Nayland Smith has uncovered a clue to the underworld hideout used by the super criminal Dr Fu Manchu. Fu Manchu is still holding Dr James Petrie in a secret chamber in a Limehouse den. Disguised as seamen Nayland Smith and Inspector Weymouth gain entrance to the place and break into the secret chamber, the moment that Dr Petrie is dropped through a trapdoor, operated by Fu Manchu, into the Thames river! |
