Whitehall 1212 was a 1951-1952 crime radio series based on facts. The title is actually derived from the Whitehall 1212 of the Scotland Yard. It featured several stories of true crime, presented by Chief Inspector John Davison. Davison was the caretaker of the Black Museum, which houses artifacts seen or used in the crimes the show presented. These artifacts are the sinister remembrance of true cases of crimes.
Wyllis Cooper, who previously worked on the popular thriller show Quiet Show was Whitehall 1212’s researcher and scriptwriter. He also served as the director, creating a cast of British actors for the show. Cooper’s work for the Whitehall 1212 was considered to be a polished, excellent crime drama.
