Spoiler : Even late in the Yours Truly Johnny Dollar series, when money was tight and everyone involved had seen the writing on the wall for a long time, these old pros were still capable of some marvelous radio. Consider the grocery scene in The Fatal Filet Matter, broadcast May 10, 1959. 11 minutes in, there are two minutes of great comedy as Morris Bain, the store owner, answers Johnny's questions while keeping an eye on everybody who's coming and going and yelling instructions to his assistants. I'm lousy at recognizing voices, so I don't which of the regulars (Bartell, Dobkin?) plays Morris, but he's just fabulous. He makes a brief return appearance at the 18:46 mark.
