The story of how eleven-year-old Mary Small ("The Little Girl With The Big Voice") was discovered and appeared on the Rudy Vallee show in 1933. Mary would have her own show on the Blue net in 1944. She belts out a great, "Louisville Lady." John McManus (radio editor of "P.M.") answers questions from listeners: Why do U.S. radio stations start with a "W" or "K" (or "N")? What does "Goodnight and thirty" mean? Robert Gunderson tells how he teaches blind students amateur radio (even though he's blind himself). |
