In 1954, the Chicago Bar Association brought the legal drama "Case Dismissed" to the airwaves of WMAQ and NBC networks every Saturday for a brief period of time. These old radio shows served as public service announcements in an everyday "slice of life" type of program that showed how only the services of an honest lawyer can save the day. The series is comprised of only 12 episodes that are jam-packed with educational tidbits and trivia that give a glimpse into the jargon-filled world of the legal system. In this old time radio anthology, working class men and women go about their daily lives and play out their dramas. The stories revolve around how each character gets into a legal dispute-- and how a friendly and guileless attorney saves them from the mess they find themselves embroiled in. All episodes in the collection were written and performed by local Chicago talents, and the program was hosted by the Dean of the Loyola University Law School, John Fitzgerald.
