Plot | : | + "The Windbag". When Mr. Lattimer is given credit for becoming a radio writer, complications ensue...even though the actual writing was done by his son-in-law. The story was subsequently produced on "Family Theatre" on October 18, 1950. The program opening is slightly upcut. + D G Latimer and his wife have lived in the little town of Pleasanter Kansas 24 years where they are considered solid and substantial citizens. Their daughter named Valesca is married to Jimmy Meredith a young writer on the staff of the Continental Broadcasting Company in Chicago. The boss wants Jimmy to submit some scripts for broadcasting for the Continental Theatre but as he is on the staff he cannot be paid for the scripts. He suggests that his father in law puts his name to the scripts and for his trouble he can keep $50 from the $250 himself which he does. But DJ being an incurable romanticist with an active imagination decided to make sure the entire village know that “he” has written the plays! |
