Plot | : | + "The Windbag". When Mr. Lattimer is given credit for becoming a radio writer, complications ensue...even though the actual writing was done by his son-in-law! The so-called writer and his wife are played by the characters of Fibber McGee and Molly. The story was previously produced on Family Theatre on August 14, 1947. + D.J. Mitchell’s son Jimmy is a radio writer and has written some scripts for the Nationwide Theater but he can’t receive any pay for them because he is on the regular staff. Jimmy gets the idea that if his father puts his name to the shows he can collect the $300 fee and keep $50 for his trouble. D.J jumps at the idea but his wife is rightly a little worried that D.J. will get some romantic notion out of being a radio writer! Host: John Ford |
