This was an ambitious show that featured a dramatization about the life and times of Christ, the greatest story ever told from the greatest life ever lived. The series featured a full orchestra with a 16-voice chorus. It was sponsored by The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company (Goodyear Tires) from January 26, 1947 to December 30, 1956 on ABC. There never were any pictures taken of the performers, as well there never was a studio audience, and no commercials were broadcast during the programs. For commercials, there was just a simple FCC required tag that stated the program was brought to you by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
