These words set forth the soul and spirit of one of the world’s great literacy masterpieces, Les Miserables. Out of the depth of his pity for suffering mankind Victor Hugo drew a compelling story, one that will live so long as bewildered humanity shall continue to grope towards the light. The Bishop is the 1st of 7 broadcasts specifically adapted for radio by Orson Welles. Each program portrays some development in the progress of Jean Val Jean, the roll played by Orson Welles. |
