Plot | : | + The Lux Radio Theatre. December 27, 1937. "Beloved Enemy". Sponsored by: Lux. An Irish revolutionary and the daughter of a very British nobleman try to overcome a doomed romance. The intermission interview is with the head of the Paramount talent agency, Ted Lesser. Another intermission guest is Walter J. Hoffman, the special-effects man who has specialized in explosions since he worked on "The Birth Of A Nation." + Ireland, in the year 1921. The fog filled streets of Dublin echo with the sounds of British troops arriving under the cover of night to stem the tide of Irish rebellion. On the side of Ireland is a young man who fights blindly for his country's independence. He is a leader of the cause, known and loved by the Irish, but unknown to the British. |
