Plot | : | + The Lux Radio Theatre. January 2, 1939. "The Perfect Specimen". Sponsored by: Lux. A multi-millionaire bred to be "a perfect specimen," takes off to be his own man and avoid his dominating grandmother. Dr. Floyd L. Ruch, an associate professor of psychology is interviewed. Joan Blondell has trouble reading her script during the post-story interview. + Errol Flynn plays the same role that he played in the comedy film of the same name, that of Gerald Wickes heir to his millionairess grandmother’s estate. Grandma, played by May Robeson has brought her grandson up under a strict regime and as Mona puts it he has “been scientifically developed in to the first superman, the perfect specimen”. Mona played by Joan Blondell comes crashing through their fence one day to meet with Gerald Wickes and after their first frosty meeting Gerald seeks her out and they set off on an adventure together leaving Grandma to suspect that he has been kidnapped. |
