Unfortunately, she's not really dying! + New York City, the skyscraper champion, is where the city-slickers and the wise-guys peddle gold bricks to each other. One of these gold bricks is being peddled right now, in the banquet room of a Park Avenue Hotel at a dinner in honor of the Sultan of Mazipan. The Sultan sits, in all his Oriental splendor, at the head of the table whilst the Toast Master, editor of the Morning Star, holds forth on his virtues. |
