The richest man in the world goes to work in one of his stores to find out why the employees hate him. Part of the Spry commercial and the program closing have been deleted. Both Charles Laughton and Dennis O'Keefe were scheduled to appear on this broadcast, but neither were heard, despite the announcement of the previous week. The story was produced on The Lux Radio Theatre previously on January 19, 1942 (see cat. #42810). See cat. #93446 for a rehearsal recording of this program. The Devil And Miss Jones is a comedy story about a modern merchant prince who in the early 1930’s walks in disguise among the common folk with the uncommon consequences. |
