AFRS program name: "Radio Theatre." The Statue of Liberty was unveiled in New York harbor. Since then millions of people have sailed beneath her upraised torch to a new life and a brave new world. This play deals with the most important of these millions, our own men in uniform returning to the problems and complexities of America after the war. Joan Fontaine as Susan and Mark Stevens as Bill reprise their RKO film roles in this story of love and hope against the background of this changing and exciting world. |
