| Plot | : | + The Lux Radio Theatre. April 26, 1954. "Detective Story". Sponsored by: Lux. A driven New York detective cares only catching the bad guys, with no life of his own. The story is based on the 1951 Paramount movie. Kirk Douglas and Eleanor Parker reprise their 1951 film roles as hard boiled Detective James McCleod and his wife Mary McCleod. McLeod is a hard-nosed and cynical detective who believes in a strict interpretation of law and justice. For some time he has been trying to put away Kurt Schneider is an abortionist responsible for the death of several young women. When roughs him up Schneider's lawyer tells the precinct lieutenant that McLeod has his own personal reasons for going after his client. Mcleod is hit with a shock discovery that will turn his life upside down. |
