Stars on Parade was a 15-minute variety show produced in New York City. The show was literally a variety show, as the listeners will never know what’s in store for them in each episode. For instance, there could be dance number, song number, jazz sessions, biographical drama, commentary, comedy skit-- anything, basically. Some of the famous personalities and bands featured in the show were Merv Griffin and the Freddy Martin Orchestra, Count Basie and his Orchestra, Kate Smith, and many more.
