Stars Over Hollywood was a morning radio show that aired from 1941 to 1954. It featured stories of drama and romance with some comedy in them. Critics strongly believe that the show was bound to fail (even adding that no big-time actors would agree to perform in the show) after its director Paul Pierce decided to put it in a Saturday morning slot. They proved to be wrong, as Stars Over Hollywood became an immense success. Its 13 years on air was an excellent proof to that.
The program, which had Carnation Milk and Armour and Dari-Rich as its main sponsors, featured big stars such as Mary Astor, Joan Crawford, Phil Harris, Alan Ladd, Basil Rathbone, etc. Click here to read more about Stars Over Hollywood
