Spoiler : This program features week-by-week trials and tribulations of a New York Taxi driver. We have enjoyed listening to these programs, as they are very well written, and acted.

Spoiler : Many might be unaware of the South African OTR show 'Taxi'. It's an old classic from the late 60s and 70s, much loved by SA fans who remember the old radio days. I am curious as to what US OTR fans might think of it, seeing as it is set in New York city. The show revolves around the daily misdoings of cab drivers, and is slightly (delightfully) reminiscent of Damon Runyan's old NY. Basically, the 3 main characters are Taxi driver Chuck, his girlfriend Myrtle, and long-time friend Red Kowalski, not the sharpest tool in the shed, and often driving Chuck and Myrtle up the wall. Be warned, though, apparently US fans who have heard it say they enjoy it, although the accents are terrible!

Spoiler : I would like to know, what was the name of the song played at the end of each series..my father loved it and used to dance to it. With his passing away, i would like to save it as a fond memory of him and these days gone by! Loved the series!
