| Plot | : | + Luigi is writing his letter to his mother telling her how there are such wonderful school for the kids of America and how he is a member of what they call Big Brothers of America and how is a big brother to little Sandy. Sandy is a newsboy and because of the love and attention that Luigi has given Sandy there has been a big change in this little boy. + Before the story begins Martin Lewis the associate editor of Radio Guide makes an important announcement and pays tribute to The Cavalcade of America. As an overture Don Vorhees and the Dupont Cavalcade Orchestra play George Gershwin’s A Foggy Day from the musical picture A Damsel In Distress. Cavalcade tells the story of The Big Brothers an organization that has brought a new life and untold happiness to so many little brothers at times when their futures hung between a career of crime and wasted existence on the one hand and a life of usefulness and service to their families and friends on the other. While the characters portrayed in this story are fictitious the events told are based on facts. |
