Theater Five, a radio series whose title was derived from the fact that it was aired everyday at 5pm, was a 20-minute drama anthology based on short stories or stories from daily newspaper. Heard on-air in the 1960s, it was ABC’s attempt to revive radio drama, so everything in the show was top notch-- the production, director, sound effects, voice talents, etc. The show had Fred Foy as its host.
