One of the earliest and most important uses of radio has been to spread the word of God. Radio Ministries are generally associated Evangelical Protestants, but one of the pioneering efforts in the field was The Ave Maria Hour, a Catholic program produced in cooperation with the Greymoor Friars in Garrison, NY. The program featured stories from the Life of Christ.

The inventor of radio and devout Catholic, Guglielmo Marconi, pulled the switch at Radio Vatican in 1931, launching the first radio broadcast in history. I have an Ava Maria Hour recording from 1959 by the Graymoor Friars titled "Kerry"-The Christmaa Tree Ornament. A Christmas radio show for children. It was recorded as an mp3 file from a vinyl 33-1/3 long play record for radio stations. I'd be happy to send a copy to add to the shows yoy have here.
