I was 2 years old when I remember hearing Gabriel Heatter broadcasting evening news regarding Hitler's Nazi propaganda on the northern Africa war and the Great Victories General Rommel was achieving in the desert. Heatter said most of the claims made by Hitler were either lies or unproven. I had no idea where Africa was located but I did know my Mother knew and was frightened for the safety of cousins who were there.

I remember hearing Gabriel Heatter on radio but would have been too young to remember this one. I ask my sister back in NYS if she remembered him and she did. I wanted to hear his voice again and found this link.
