Drama: "The Voice Of Bugle Ann," with Lionel Barrymore. The system cue has been deleted. Maxwell House Coffee presents Good News of 1939 with all the usual gang and special guests Lionel Barrymore, Kitty Carlisle and Doug McPhail. This Good News program is a very special one as it is dedicated to Jeanette MacDonald whose new picture Broadway Serenade in which she stars with Lew Ayres was due to be released in theaters throughout the country. In this show you can hear some of the songs from the picture commencing with High Flying. Unfortunately Jeanette MacDonald does not appear on the show as she was on a concert tour at the time. |
